anyone have problems setting up there floyd rose so you can drop d tune from standard tuning without the whole guitar changing on ya. i gott a ibanez rg 570 and no matter how i set my spring tention when i drop d tune from standard a 440 the whole darn thing goes outta tune. if any one has any pointers it would be great, im at my wits end here, my last resort is this heritage ive had my eyes on for awhile that has emg actives in it and has neck through construction with a solid bridge, of course i will then tune my ibanez to drop d and leave it there and use the heritage for standard. thanks guys. god bless tim pate

I have a Schecter C1-plus w/floyd rose and I have the same problem. I did buy a d-tuna and they do work, but you should have your trem set up by a pro first. It took me FOREVER to set up the d-tuna. Then on the other hand I've played guitars with a Floyd where all you have to do was drop the fine tuner down on the Low E string to D and the rest stayed in perfect tune. Mine, like yours go completely out of whack when I try that. I don't know what the deal is. It frustrates me just thinking about it.

i didnt realize i could add a d-tuna to my floyd rose i was under the impresion that if it didnt come with one you were stuck and if you wanted one you had to buy one of those eddie van halen guitars that cost like a thousand bucks lol. yes it does frustrate me alot when it does this. i mean its a great guitar and ive had so many guitars and this is the first that has done this. ive always liked the kahler pros better than the floyd rose because they wernt so tempermental with these things. i will have to check around and see if there is anyone around my area that is qualified to set it up, i seriously doubt it because i live in a small city with one music store whose prices are usually a 100 percent mark up from guitar centers or musicians friend. benn thinking about buying into the guitar center chain and opening one up if possible. ive always sat my own guitars up with great results. like i said the guitar plays tottaly awesome and the neck has such a flat radius therefore allowing the strings to almost lay wright on the frets with no buzzing at all. when i bought the rg 570 i was intending to buy a gem but did not like the way the gem played as well and the rg was much cheaper so for the 1200 bucks the gem costed i bought the rg 570 and a line 6 2+12 spyder amp and havnt looked back yet, accept for the floyd rose problem im happy. thanks for replying guys and i wish you luck with yours.
