Flextime question

When using flex to alter the BPM of a performance, how do I retain the correct pitch of the instrument?

For example, while tracking my bass guitar we realized that the song would really work better when played slower, so I flexed it down and it sounded good until we go to record guitar over it, then I realized the bass was detuned a little. Is there a way to prevent this?

Which Flextime mode did you use?

use follow tempo in the inspector - that way you can just change the tempo map and the regions will conform to the right tempo relative to the tempo they were recorded at.
