I'm running sonar with just a crappy soundcard (for now) and heres the scenerio:

When I add a Flanger effect, or Chorus or whatever it may be, i get a clicking noise. I'm refering to the built in sonar audio effects. I highlight the section i want to add the effect to, i add a chorus or flanger, then when i play through it, it clicks at the point where it changes from no effect, to flanger (or whatever).

the transistion basically sucks. How can I fix this??

any help would be great.
thanx everyone.

Sounds to me like your wave isn't smoothly crossing Zero at the point where the effect is applied.

Zoom in on the wave right down to the sample at the point where the effect transition takes place and look to see if the wave flows through smooth or if there is a big jump / dip in the wave at that point. If there is a drastic jump \ dip in the wave at that point thats whats causing the click.

To fix this just crossfade a small ammount of the wave on either side of the click and that should do it.
