FL Studio VSTi / Adobe Audition3 midi-PLEASE HELP

I posted this question under the Audition Forum as well, but probably not a popular spot. I am giving midi a try, and using FL Studio as a plugin with Audition3. I can load FL in the sequencer, and can open up FL to see the instrument channels, but I cannot change instruments in AdobeA3. I was able to cycle through a whole list of instruments when I opened FL in Cubase LE (which I would use if it didnt crash constantly...) what am I missing?

I suppose one way is too make sure only one instrument channel is opened in FL Studio, but this still isnt the right way, I must be able to cycle through a list...
