Hey Dresta, I used FL Studio on a MacBook for 2 years before switching back to a Windows-based laptop.
The best way to ensure everything runs smoothly is to use Boot Camp (
http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/), which allows you to run Windows on Apple hardware. You'll need a fully-licensed copy of Windows XP, Vista, or 7. From Mac OS, open up the Boot Camp application and follow the instructions...it's pretty self-explanatory. You'll need to partition your hard drive into separate Mac and Windows partitions, so keep that in mind.
If you get Windows installed successfully on your Mac in this fashion, FL should run at full speed and with full functionality.
There are other options, such as Parallels (
http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/), which allows you to run Windows from within Mac OS. I've never used this myself....it could be a good option for you, but you'll have to spend an extra $80. So, if you don't might rebooting each time you want to use FL, I'd go the Boot Camp route.
In all honesty, if FL is your primary DAW, just get a Windows machine. Image-Line does not plan to release a Mac version of FL in the foreseeable future.
Cheers
