fl piano roll slides

hi,
i am making good progress in my understanding of fruity loops and i'm now learning the wonders of the piano roll. i am starting to play around with slide events. my problem is that i am able to do slides with only some of the generators (keys mostly). when i try to do a slide with a plucked string sound or the electric guitar generator nothing happens. is this just due to the nature of the generated sound itself?

hello again,
just wanted to let you all know that i found my answer. it turns out that the slide function in FL only works with generators that are part of the FL package, not plugins etc.
