FL and n-Track

I'm a new user to both programs. Here's what I'd like to do. I'd like to keep my drums in FL as long as possible and work with them in the FL domain. Then, when it comes time to mixdown in n-Track, that's when I'd like to bring the drums over--if I have to.

I know I'm not familiar enough with either program to know either's potential, but I'd like to learn how to do things the right way, so I can get up and running quicker.

I'd post this question on the n-Track board but for some reason it won't let me access the forum--it keeps saying I'm a guest--even though I paid for the program!

Thanks,

Nick

I do (almost) all of my drums in Fruity so far....

Just export the Fruity song as a stereo .wav file and import it into N. Dead easiest way to do it.

You can try running Fruity as a VSTi in N-Track but you may or may not find it a hassle.

Easiest ways usually give you the least hassle....

Thanks for the note, Tim. That's what I've done so far.

I use FL as a VSTi in n-Track. It works really well...although it's kind of annoying switching back and forth (you'll see if you try it).

I'm sort of getting the hang of it. It took me a while to figure some of it out, but I think I'm getting it. What I don't get yet is what to do when I want to mix down my tracks on n-Track. I suppose the FL tracks stay in their environment and on their n-Track faders throughout the process?

For mixdown it is still best to export each fruity loop track to a wave file and import those into n-Track. You then simply bypass the FL VSTi and mix normally.

Fruity as a VSTi is great for *writing* parts, not so much for mixing.
