"Hi, I'm in Delaware."
This might be something some of you already know, or it might not even work for all of you, but I thought I'd post it just in case.

I go to school right in the heart of DC. There are at least three broadcast towers within a mile radius of where I live, so as you can imagine, there is a lot of annoying interference going on. Just plug a speaker into the wall and it will start buzzing. Well, today at work one of the computers went bad and we had to swap it out for another one. For whatever reason, my boss decided to hook it up to the onboard sound card, so we had a mini plug for line in and another for line out. We tested it out to make sure it was working, but there was a terrible buzzing coming out of the speakers all the time. My boss said, "Oh, that's ok, just take the ground wire off the old computer and put it on the new one." So we did, and the buzzing went away completely. The ground wire was just attached to a screw on the back of the case and then ran out into the wall, presumably to a true ground loop somewhere (maybe someone knows more about this than I do and can elaborate).

Anyway, the point is, it worked, and maybe it can help some of you in similar situations.
