Hi, I'm in a deathmetal/deathcore/hardcore/whatever you want to call it band.

We've never had an actual decent recording, and we figured it's about time.

So, I decided to have our own little recording studio.
I need help as to what kind of computer interface I need.
I plan on recording the Guitar, Bass, and Vocals.
The drums I'm just going to reproduce on DrumSite.

I've been looking at the Line 6 POD Studio UX2. I was thinking about getting the program Amplitube to go along with it.

I'm also going to use the Rode NT1-A condenser microphone for vocals. So I need a interface with phantom power.

What would you guys recommend?

We have a tight budget, so it can't be that expensive.
And It needs to have a USB 2.0 input because my computer doesn't support Firewire.

Also, can I even use Amplitube with the Line 6 UX2? Or do you have to use POD Farm with it?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. :)

(I plan on using Adobe Audition for mastering)

Hi there..

Welcome!

Your question is asked here, and answered, about 10 times a week.

The quickest way for you to get an answer may be to search for other "which interface should I get" posts in this forum.

There are thousands to choose from... (posts that is, not interfaces...)

Good luck
