Zapruder Sequence - Crossfire

Sorry, not a cover of the Stevie Ray Vaughn song...

Tons of help would be appreciated - I've seen y'all give some great advice on here before, so I'm excited to read your responses.

Known problems:
1. Weak vocals
2. Guitars and bass clipped, problem has since been fixed
3. Muddy bass

Thanks for your help!

Michael

pretty good job man.
haha i love the 16th drum beats, that never gets old! I think the clean guitar still has that "home recorded"ish sound to it. don't make me describe what that is though. it is the guitar on the right channel. I didn't think the vocals were that bad, good back up vocals as well.

Those 16ths are fun to play, especially live when the song gets started a little too fast.

Yeah, that guitar is a little weak. It's hard to get it to cut through the mix. Anyone have any suggestions?

All comments are welcome. I'd love all the help I can get!

Hey, I think this sounds pretty dang good. Sounds really clean and clear to me. Cool song, too - and you've got a cool voice (or a singer with a cool voice). It works well with the style.

Drums were really cool.

. . . .I just used the word "cool" a lot. Should have gone with "neat" somewhere instead.

Sounded like a lot of fun to play. Good vox, cool keys, cool guitar tone. I thought the bass sounded OK.

Well done!

Fun song. I noticed you change the panning around for the instruments several times. It's that what you were going for? Nice song overall.

Thanks for the responses!

Well, I wasn't trying to make a "crazy-pan-all-over-the-placem mix," :) but I was having problems in the guitar solo, and outro keeping the guitar parts from getting muddled up with each other. Any suggestions for that. During the guitar solo, I've got the keyboards and the rhythm guitar to contend with - the keys are also playing a solo. Any suggestions on panning for the whole song to keep these seperate?

Did that make any sense at all?
