Hey,

I remember when your were just starting to play piano!:D
Sounds cool!

Your voice sounds really good Sam,you should record it clean on a better mic,it has a fine quality to it!

Some nice guitar bends would definatly fit in there.

"Yucking"-What you do when you look down at the sheets after your done!
(And hopefully not the girl!)

BTW-That was the best vocal note in the whole song!

Best to you,
Pete

thanks muze.........man, I was hoping you would hear this one before it (and I) disappear into the oblivion. :D
the vocal comments are especially appreciated because they're so up front on this tune it gives me ogeda.. (sp?) :) thanks muze.......man! Best to you too..

Regardless of who likes it or not, your song is honest and a true expression of something you felt. Thats what gives it the power. I have heard many a well crafted song that was gone over with a fine toothed comb for the sake of marketing to the right audience--making sure to not offend anyone. Thats OK I guess, but I'd rather hear something from the heart that is an honest expression of the artist. There will always be plenty of music crafted for a market as well as a shortage of music from the gut.

Follow your muse. I'm with ya!

I think everyone here feels your stuff is some of the most melodic, honest feeling music in this clinic. Thanks for bearing your soul over and over again, Sam.

This is only one of 3 songs I ever used profanity in.. :D

Profanities make the world go round :D They really work when you don't expect them. If you go overkill with them, they lose the power. You do it with style. Kinda like with some of the Roger Waters stuff, like "It's a Miracle".

I seriously appreciate that guys..

I'm not trying to write a hit or anything, just doing the one thing that I can do besides unclogging toilet bowls.. :D

The input here has completely changed how I record and mix.. I have at least a little more confidence in my vocals. I wouldnt have had that if not for posting tunes here..

Please dont worry about telling me if something sux.. :)

tremendous thanks!

the drinks are on me! :D

Sam I just listened to this one again...I think the vox are at a REAL nice level (don't know if you've remixed since..).
Another listen.. You've got a great voice dude...you should consider going back and raising the vox on some of your other tracks if you haven't already. And if you REALLY don't like the original performance, do em over. Probably not saying anything you don't know, but I just mean that you gotta stop burying your voice from now on. It's so hard to mix your own voice.
This mix is sweeet. Very smooth performance too. I can't find anything annoying. Let's have another...
Speaking of another...a Three Orange Whip if you please...

good mix Sam, as far as the song I think you need to get out more :) It sounds suicidal :(

Take a walk down to china-town or go walk on Broadway aren't you somewhere in NYC (no drinking though just sight seeing). Go play your guitar on the street corner or something, just don't sit in that studio for a while. :D

cheers

oh ye, I didn't care about f word but I agree with muzeman it's a highlight of the song musicaly

cheers

and a Captain Morgan and Coke for me... :D

SLuiCe - I have been thinking about going back and remixing everything, but I might just go for making the new songs better.. I might redo some old tunes from scratch though.. who knows. Thanks for the words man.. it helps. :D

Fed - I appreciate that you checked it out even though it wasnt on the first page.... Yeah I rarely use profanity in a tune.. I especially dont know why I chose to do it on the mellow song. I'm on Long Island, but your absolutely right.. I really do need to get out more..:D I wrote a song about it but took it off of Nowhere because it made me sick..:) thanks man

participant - :D you get em!

What? You mean like:
