cool crawdad.. thanks for the info. I'm definitely a hardware guy. I dont use the computer for anything except the mp3 stuff. I dont record anything as midi, I just record the audio. I'll check it out, even though I'm still paying off the XP-30. :D thanks

yeah....he's a short legged....almost 11 months now. still too young to drink:p

oh...he "graduated" this morning too. So this doens't apprear to be a "Sonusman spam", he does lie on my feet when I mix, record, and listen to the mp3's here....:D

Sometimes you'll find Emulators at blow out prices. Look around. Shit, you scare me enough with the XP-30. With this sampler, I might have to start wearing Dignity Diapers before I download your tunes! Just to be safe!

Ahhh finally got it!

A++++ stuff here Sami! I'm diggin the simple but full sound on this one. Plenty of space to give it LOADS of depth. Great melodies... great chords- you're rounding out very nicely IMHO. And the mix on this sounds right on with the monitors. No complaints at all here brotha. An inspiring piece of work.Definitely one for the collection...Excellent job!

This is so cool...........and your vocals are great for this. The harmonies too. I think this is the best I've heard your voice so if you thought you were gonna get out of doing more of these............forget it!
But the thing about your songs that always blows me away is the unique chord structures you come up with. They don't really sound like anyone else but you to my ears. I like this tune....lets have some more please. ;)

samicide, your songwriting is just about unparalleled here.

Starting off in lo-fi mode a la VOXVENDOR, eh? ;) piano sounds tight, but a bit "underwater" -- intentional though, to set off those cool cellos! Only crit on cellos -- they sound excellent, but in the intro -- that quick trill sounds a bit fakey (about 0:32?). Don't have any suggestions on how to add depth to that, tho :D How do you get finger/string noise when it ain't there to begin with?? :confused: Doubt the listeners would care; they'd be too intoxicated by the melody and emotion.

Love that slapback/plate echo sound on the sidesticked snare. Right before 2:00, thought the mix was a tad heavy at about 120 Hz (very little tho... maybe 2db?). Vox is great. You get that pleasantly clipped Trent Reznor thing there in the last verse.

I could listen to this thing over and over again, man. It's just beautiful. The potty mouth is what will sell it, tho :eek: :D:D

thanks for checkin' it out man..I'm glad you mentioned exact frequencies because I'm working on that right now.. I always tried not to use any e.q. at all except at the source, but I see now it is going to be necessary to e.q. the overall mix as well..

This is only one of 3 songs I ever used profanity in.. :D

Sometimes it must be said....... sometimes loudly.. sometimes softly.. sometimes while coughing :confused:
