vocals need to be much louder. So does the stuff at the beginning on the left. Mix is dominated by the acoustic guitar.
 
Hey man, just downloading now(56k) so it will be a while. I also noticed that you added a delta 1010 to your studio. If this means that you old delta 44 is no longer of use to you, lemme know! I have been looking to add at least 4 more inputs to my current setup, and a 44 would work well with my 66!

DAMN! If you can make the song available for download, it would make my life easier man! It is hard to critique a song in 1 second clips.

As for whether or not I'll use it. I'm not sure. I'll get back to you though!

Yeah, the vocals sounded a bit louder when i was mixing it. When I go back and add percussion to it, that's something I'll fix. I'm afriad if I drop down the acoustic guitar the song will sound really weak and thin, though.
 
Well, David is definitely right. The vocals are sunk a fair bit back. What kind of percussion are you adding? If you are adding a kit, I would suggest adding a bass, and actually pulling a little bit of lowout of the guitar, which would balance out the mix really nice. If you are just adding hand drums or something, then just a little eq(some bottom end mud there) and you should be fine. The lead guitar isn't sitting very nice either. When it first comes in, it is overpowering, almost knocked me outta my chair. It starts to settle back in a bit, but it should be dealt with too.

Otherwise, the actually sound quality of everythign recorded is pretty nice!

Acoustic sounds nice! Some freaky effects in the intro. Vocals, well they're buried.... you gotta separate those from the track more and raise the volume. I was thinking the same thing as 2lim that bass here and there would be a nice filler. Even root notes on some parts would really fix up the mix. Later in the song it sounds a bit cluttered like some more EQing or panning of each track would help. Otherwise, sounds like an interesting song. Some neat stuff going on, cool... good start ;) :cool:
