This sounds Great. Good song, Good recording... Good everything. Did you say this is your band? If so the drums sound a bit too triggered, or even not real... am I right in saying that? Fill us in how how you recorded this.

Naaah it's just me since my band is in the wash,(LOL) my first Protools outing...

You are correct, drums were done in PC Drummer Pro with DFH sounds, exported as seperate WAVs into Protools, and mixed from there.

Guitars are PodXT with Model Packs, ESP Horizon w/EMG 81 in the bridge.

Sorry to hear about the band... Didn't catch that the first time. Are you running your own studio to record other bands? You seem to have what it takes to get something great for everyone.

At first glance i was impressed. But it lacks mid range or something. Sounds like its really missing some frequencies. Maybe the way you mastered it?
Impressed with the guitars since they were POD. Good work. They sound beleiveable.
Not sure about the snare sample. Sounds attaky but kinda thin.
Overall good sound man. Im impressed. but take into account the mid range thingy i was talking about. Compare your mix to Linkin park or similar band as im sure thats the sound you are going for.

I noticed the little lack of midrange too. I recorded it in about 2 hours and did a really quick mixdown in protools, the volume is low and I didn't use any mastering tools after the general mix per se.

I liked the tune. I couldn't really distinguish the bass from the guitars. I thought it was pretty heavy. Nice work.
