I think it's recorded well.

Really like the harmonies.

Main vocal is good.

Is that synth buried in the mix left and right, playing different parts ?

The intro takes a while to get things going, but I have an attention span of about 4 seconds.

Lyrics seem to fit song very well.
 
You have a pretty nice mix here John. You are a good singer songwriter and performer. No problems as far as I can hear. I really liked this song...
Maybe for more feedback on the mixing you can post this in the MP3 forum.....Welcome to HR.com!
 
Not what I normally listen to, genre wise, but a good tune. If you want mix/recording advice, the MP3 clinic is a better choice, as ido stated. As far as songwriting, I enjoyed it. Has a somewhat down feel, but not too depressing. Seems to flow together well, and the way it is mixed is pretty good. Very enjoyable.

I enjoyed the song. The mix sounded great through my headphones. The intro kinda thru me off a bit though.

Sorry to take so long to get back. I've had a nightmare PC scenario resulting in a new PC.

Thanks for all the comments! It was an unfiltered and filtered synth panned left and right (if I remember correctly!).

I've partly re-written the lyrics to be in the first person. Once it's re-recorded I'll post it in the demo mp3 board.
