First MP3, But Not My First Mix of Song: What Would I Do Without You

Wrote this for a commercial. Not sure if it'll get in or not, but it was worth a shot! :)
They wanted something "girly" "breezy". The tracks they referenced had a similar sound/tempo.
 
I had a set of lyrics already laying around that gave me some inspiration. I changed the quite a bit and just kept it simple. I basically cut and paste a lot of live instruments over and over again to get a structure.

My main vocal mic was an M-Audio Nova. I also used it to record the vibes and the percussion.
Drums were recorded using two Oktavas MK 219s as overheads spaced equidistant from the kick drum mic (can't think of what it is offhand).
 
Mix sounds good. The oooo oooos are very very catchy and could form the basis of a major catch phrase for a sponsor. The sung parts are not as catchy but are done well. If I was looking I would take your ooo ooo`s in a heartbeat... :D:D:D:D
 
Thanks! The ooo ooooos were the basis of the song and the verses were tacked on afterward to give it a little more length. I don't hate the verse part, but I agree that the whoo ooo ooooos are the coolest bit.

If you are producing a lot of these types of clips songs then I would heartily recommend TAXI.....definitely
