Hey all. Well, I finally got a recording interface capable of recording more than just two channels. My band usually records our practices for learning purposes, and our last practice was the first one where I got a multi-track recording.

For fun and as an exercise to start learning how to mix, I took one of the songs out of the practice and tried to mix it. This is my first time mixing anything really (it's a lot harder than I expected). Also, it just so happens that the song from the practice that I decided to mix was the very first time ever we had tried to play the song (couple big flubs as we're trying to feel out the song, and vocals are shaky at times). Everything was tracked together with no over-dubs. So if it's at all possibly, try to put the performances aside, and just let me know what I need work on mixing wise.

That's in advance for all criticism/suggestions. And sorry if it doesn't meet the "something worth listening to" criteria of this forum ;)

From what I hear, it sounds pretty damn good! Just my opinion, but sometimes the guitar is kind of hard to hear. Catchy as hell, and definitely worth listening to! Par le vu francais? :) very clever lyrics.

thanks for the words Coughmist. I can't take credit for the cleaver lyrics though, the guitarist/singer came up with this song.

I agree, the guitar can get a little lost at times... what can i do to help fix that, just turn it up? (like i said... i'm totally new to this)

Maybe? I am not a pro, and am new to this myself, but what I do, if the guitar is all one clip, cut parts that need to be louder and paste them on another track with a higher volume. I know this may be the wrong way to do it, but it seems to work for me.
