Yo definitely fire man you put it down on that track. Yo the only thing is maybe the piano part could be turned up a bit its the main melody but you can barely hear it. Also if "more time" is a radio joint you should have spit it more radio friendly but hey it can always be edited out I guess.

oh definitely i will be doing the editing out of the nasty lines . . . i just couldnt resist!!!

I know its just a first draft...but IMO you need to say something else over the chorus. Or have a singer addlib over it to thicken it up.

Vocals for the verses seem like they have a little bit too much background noise, the overdubbs seem a bit too off in some places. Also (im sure u know this because it is a first draft but just giving u a heads up) you can hear you clearing your throat in the beginning. I agree the singing in the chorus needs to be a little bit louder.

That beat man.... wow thats a crazy beat. Love it, sounds like its going to be a hot sound

The vocals need more mixing GJ. Nothing that can't be easily fixed. I think you do need something in the hook though. I could help you figure out somethin' for that homie. I'm feelin' the song....Beatmakers did a nice job on that beat.

Needs tweaking but the raw edit is good though.

thanks for the feedback -- im definitely trying to find a singer to provide soem extra sauce to the hook. and i just got back in the house from a late nite "ride out" where i was tryin to clear my head enough to come at teh song some more . . . i know i need some more to the hook -- but so far no luck --GOTTA FIND ME A SINGER!!!!!

the throat clearing at the beginning (ok, so i thought it would be interesting!!! thats an easy "delete")

THE MIX? THATS MY ACHILLES HEEL -- IM WILLIN TO DO WHATEVER I CAN -- IF SOMEONE WOULD GIVE ME SOME MORE SPECIFIC POINTERS AS TO HOW TO ADJUST THE MIX . . .

--verses seem like they have a little bit too much background noise" -- NOW THAT IS SOMETHIN I DONT "HEAR" . . . YET. I'LL KEEP LISTENIN . . . .,"the overdubbs seem a bit too off in some places" -- I KNOW OF ONE SPOT FOR SURE -- OK SO IM LEARNING -- THATS NOT "COOL" EITHER -- I CAN EDIT THAT !!!!!

THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK - I WILL GET IT CRACKIN AGAIN -- AFTER A FEW HOURS OF SLEEP!!

I'm not sure what I was hearing earlier with the background noise earlier.. Must have been my computer because I'm not hearing anything right now.

Sorry if you feal my feedback wasn't very insightful for you... I was just tellin you what I heard, and was just tryin to help you out! ;)

on the contrary, i appreciate it all -- my responses were only tryin to clarify what to look for . . .

song is on point. the overdubs in the first verse could be tightened up even though i know that it's a rough draft. like said above the hook could be panned for a stereo effect to fatten that chorus up because everything seems to be going up the middle. good job for you and good job for beatmakers.

More comments...

I agree that the mix needs more stereo imaging...but when i posted before I didnt think you had actually "mixed" it yet. I thought you were looking for more of a conceptual critique... But regarding the mix I think you could put more overdubs at the ends of the bars...that might help some. You definitely need a little reverb on the vocals to make them sit in the mix better. To me, some of the pauses in the vocal were a little awkward as is...especially the one at 1:47. Maybe if you threw in an addlib or muted the beat there it would be smoother. Also the intro seemed to be missing something...just sounded empty. Try adding a little stereo delay/echo to it...or maybe different words altogether. But overall, good work. The more I listen to the song the more I like it! :D

"definitely need a little reverb on the vocals to make them sit in the mix better."

--what would be a little reverb? im checkin out the settings n what not now -- but i usually stay away from reverb cuz i had one terribly bad experience with it (lol) n it nearly lost me a connect -- an engineer, studio --suposedly professional-kept assuring me that he was adding it to the mix correctly -- when i demooed the song - my connect was like U PAID FOR THAT SHIT!@!!!!!!

-AND DID U MEAN ADD REVERB TO THE MAIN VOCAL? THE OVERDUBBS? BOTH ?

Reverb is one of the most easily ABUSED effects

Definitely add a little to both the main vocal and the overdubs. As far as the amount...if you can "hear" it youre using too much. Also, mess with the frequencies you add the reverb to -- sometimes reverb on the higher frequencies doesnt sound so good. Thats probably what happened to your other record... But used correctly (assuming you have a good plugin) it can make the midrange full and rich sounding, as well as push it back "into" the mix as opposed to on top of it.

Cool -- Im Checkin Out That Cornucopia Referance Now Tryin To Find A "good" Reverb

My Guess Is . . . Dif. Reverb Packages Will Behave Dif. In Dif. Systems? [so Does It Make Sense To Ponder . . . What Is A Good One?]

Try this

http://www.knufinke.de/sir/Sir_1010.zip This is a good FREE reverb plugin. It uses impulse responses from the expensive hardware reverb units. They can be downloaded for free at noisevault.com You cant go wrong with this one!

Great - Thanks

Im Downloadin It Now -- Does It Matter Wher U "save" The Download? Where U "extract" It In Winzip?

-- IS THIS A VST PLUG IN? ( I DONT THINK MY SOFTWARE SONIC FOUNDRY VEGAS WORKS WIT IT -- N I JUST READ SOMETHING THAT SAID "VST CAUSES SYSTEM CRASHES")

save it...bcuz you have to put the file in your VST plugin folder. There may be a small latency issue also, depending on what multitrack software you are using. If it plays the track you are applying the reveb to a little "late", you may need a latency compensator to make it work properly... http://www.analogx.com/files/sslide.exe This will do the trick

Ha :D The sound is definitely worth the effort tho...What software do you you BTW???

Sonic Foundry Vegas 4
I Believe It Works Best With Direct X Plug Ins -- I Have Downloaded A Copuple This Morning So Far -- The Vst Never Shows Up In My Plug In Folder
The Direct X Do -- (n All I Did Was "download"--u Know -- Just Click Yes And Agree On Every Pop Up Window -- No Thoughts About Where Its Gonna Go At All -- It Just "went" Where They Were Supposed To -- Sort Of -- The Directx Plug Ins That Is -- The Vst Joints Asked A Lot More Qeustions N I Didnt Even Know Where To Begin
