Yes, I have it on my old mac as a midi file and I would have to hook her up to get it and may I ask what you would want it for?
I made it play on a PC once before but I dont remember how?
Getugrip, if you read this again, Flattey will get you everwhere.

YESwatch: 38 hours and counting. I am playing with YES on Friday night. Getting into it now, I was a big fan of them, hope they are still good. Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Alan White are gonna be there, although Wakeman is not. Damn.
I will be giving a full report after the show, but I gotta be honest: I cant fucking wait!!

Wow! I've always been a big Yes fan and I'd love to hear all about it. Start another thread somewhere.

dragonworks, If you have a midi file, I would like to hear it through my system out of sheer curiousity ( I have Roland and Alesis sound modules). I wont attempt to re-write it or anything stupid, so I would consider this a huge compliment that people are interested in your tune, it is probably much better than you think.

Jim H., I will post something in the Dragon Cave about the concert, although I will be dissed by the usual crowd. The Concert is at Blossom music Center in Ohio. It is called YES/the symphonic tour, and I have heard they have some new stuff just for this tour that is written for a symphony in mind.

I just pray it cools down here, because we rehearse from 3 to 6 and the show is at 8. An interesting observance- when we do rock shows here in Cleveland, we usually rehearse before the show, and then have a catered meal, usually very nice. It seems that we don't get this with yes, our contractor ordered us box lunches, and we will have $11 deducted from our checks for a sandwich and chips! I dont think I will mention this to Jon Anderson.

David,
With all due respect I am not so sure I would want to do that, I am a paranoid sucker. Let me think it over. Are you using the flattery will get you everywhere routine?
:D
Anyone else reading this have any thoughts on this.

No problem, Dragonworks, I respect your opinions.

Flattery will get you everywhere? You would have to send me photos, love letters, and phrases like " I enjoy warm baths in the winter". However, I am going to make a guess that you are a man, so I don't go that route, my butt is a one way street!

Seriously, I just wanted to encourage you with your work, because I am the only classical geek here, and I like the fact that someday there might be two. If you think somebody would steal your work, get a copyright. If you put music on the net, it could be stolen in a second. To be honest, I could transcribe your entire score, note by note, in a few hours without a mistake, as could a lot of classical composers. I was practicing four hours a day when I was 10, wrote a symphony at 11, spent my teen years with a bunch of koreans locked in rooms practicing 10 hours a day.

I am working on classical stuff too. I have a piece that is almost ready to be posted on an mp3. I have an excerpt of it (about 1 minute) of just the orchestra part, without the violin solo. It is done in general midi. I would love to send it to you, if you have GM stuff. It is by Bela Bartok, written in 1939, and will knock your socks off ( not what I did, what he did). I have been in a slump lately, but once this YES concert is over I will start praticing again and record the violin part, it took about 4 years to learn it.

I am helping a friend put country songs on the net. She wrote me and said " what if somebody steals them?" I wrote back and said "That means we are on the right track". Dave

That was truly impressive, and it didn't seem 11 minutes long at all. I liked the drums myself; they made me think of the pounding of soldiers feet on an old English battlefield.

I did an 'inspirational' kind of Classical/Movie theme piece myself that is mostly finished. Hearing this makes me want to polish it up and maybe someday get brave enough to post it. :)

Hey, I'm a semi-classical geek too. I play other music with my band, and study a little jazz-theory/piano from time to time, but mostly I'm just studying classical harmony and making those boring excercises which I think are fun...

Never spend time with Koreans locked in the room however. But I did practice 4 hours a day once... :D (One year, actually.)

I got a little classical piece too. A simple harmony exercise actually, but I'm a little shy... I send it to dragonworks by email. (Did you get that?) Maybe I'll post it too.

As for copyrights... You don't have to worry about that anymore. Classical music is not where the big bucks are for a composer, and in mainstream they copy eachother all the time... All variations on the same motive. :D

So you didn't get it... hehe. Wrong emailaddress... Voxvendor got it. :D

Could you send me an email? Lost your email. Darn. If you mail me within the next hour, I might be able to forward the mail today. Otherwise it'll be on monday. And if you mail me after tuesday, it'll be september. Yup. Holidays. And surgery. And more holidays... :D
