I searched but didn't come up with much.

I was wondering what the limitations of Firewire are. I know with USB you can only record like 4 tracks at a time or something like that, is firewire similar? I'm thinking of upgrading and getting a MOTU 828 mkII, so I was curious.

Can people link me to any relevent info?

Similar in that they both use a wire... And that's about it. If USB were a beverage straw firewire would be a firehose. Links? Try google or motu.;)
