hey there,
I have a Macbook and I'm looking to buy both an external hard drive and an interface of some sort. I would like to be able to record 2 simultaneous tracks, although 4 would be nice. My problem is that I only have one Firewire port, and not much internal disk space. Does it make sense to get a USB hard drive and a Firewire interface, or vice versa?
And secondly, is the "line in" on the Macbook decent enough to record demo quality recordings? If it is, perhaps the interface isn't all that necessary.
