I've had a few people ask me about where I got mine, so I thought I'd post it. I apologize in advance if there's a better place to post this...

There are a couple of pics attached...

The first one is the enclosure with one of the drive trays inserted, there's a second tray on top.

The second one shows the tray halfway out, the key on top is used to unlock the tray.

Basically, you need and external firewire enclosure, one that can hold 5 1/4" devices, like CD-Rom drives. Then, get an "In-close" removable drive tray (mobile dock tray), and a few trays. You install one regular IDE drive (or possibly SATA, though I haven't tried that yet) into a tray, and install the tray receiver into the enclosure.

I've not tried pulling a drive out with the enclosure powered up or connected, I would advise against it. You can, however, disconnect the enclosure from the computer, turn it off, swap trays, power up, and reconnect the enclosure (that's my current practice).

Since the trays cost about $11 a piece, it's much cheaper than having multiple firewire enclosures.

Here's a link to one made by Sanmax (although it doesn't appear to be available yet), who also makes the InClose drive trays:

Have fun (and try to get the biggest FW enclosure you can find, as the dock tray has a bit of extra electronics that makes it a tight fit)
