I just got a Cobra EZQuest firewire hard drive for my Mac. When I plug it in, the icon appears on the desk top and I can move files onto the drive. But when I tried to partition it, Drive Set Up does not recognize it. In the past I installed an internal hard drive and when I opened Drive Set Up, the new drive was recognized and I was able to partition it.
When I plug my i-Pod into a firewire port, Drive Set Up recognizes it. It says <Not Supported> under volume name, but it does recognize it. For the EZQuest it doesn't even show anything.
Does anyone know why Drive Set Up isn't recognizing the firewire hard drive? I'm using a Mac G4 running OS 9.1.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
