Hi there,

Im running a Fantom X6 into a small Yamaha mixer and connecting to a Firrwire 410. Having issues recording through firewire. I am not sure if its a soundcard setup issue or not...please help.

So here is the setup:
Keyboard Land R output to channel 3 on mixer running Left and Right

Mixer Stereo left and Right Out to pwered monitors

Mixer 2Tr in Left and Right RCA to Macbook headphone jack.

Only able to record room noise.

Where and how do I hook up the firwire 410.
:confused:

You plug it into the firewire port, obviously.

Does you macbook HAVE a firewire port?

Did you read the 410's instructions?

@TimOBrien

Actually if you read my post you will see that it was plugged into the firewire. That wasn't the question being asked.
It was a audio setting on Logic and the Mac.
Thanks for replying

Now i am confused. Why mixer and why macbook headphone jack?

* Monitors to 410 line outputs 1 & 2
* Fantom to 410 line inputs 1 & 2
* Tweak the input and output knobs
* Choose the right driver in Logic
* Create stereo track and choose right inputs
* Hit record
