I was thinking of picking one of these up but was wondering if there is any way around the 2 analog-in limitation. Is there a way to also use the 2 S/PDIF ins with some other device if you wanted to record 4 simultaneous tracks, ie. drums?

Are there any other creative ways you could send several tracks to one of the analog ins using another device? I'm obviously new at this, so any help at all would be much appreciated. Muchas Garcias.

You'll need some external AD-converters to use channel 3 and 4 then.
I use a Mindprint DI-port (hard to find though) for that on an M-Audio 2496 Audiophile but there are other options as well.

guitar center, audiomidi.com, and a few other places have the M-Audio Duo USB right now for $149....2 preamps (DMP2 based) with s/pdif outputs (you can use it as standalone pre without using the usb)......

this would let you record 4 separate tracks
