Firepod or Onyx?

Yea, I know i searched religiously on this board trying to make a decision. I want to know what people are choosing now. I was looking towards the Mackie Onyx but needed a good converter.... But the firepod has one with it already correct? I hear great things about both.. Im leaning towards the firepod.... Then having another preamp into it (avalon) and neumann mic. (Recording R&B And HipHop)

I have a firepod and I´m 100% happy with it. All good things to say about it. I don´t really know the onyx, but as a firepod user feedback.. I hope it helps. =)

Onyx have better preamps and better converters than Presonus. Firepod might be more bang for the buck overall for a home studio setup though, with 8 preamps (Onyx has only 4, and 4 line inputs).

I kind of wish I had mine back, actually. The Onyx 400F is a great box.
