i am considering buying the firepod. I was reading the manual online and it stated that the monitor outs occur before the audio goes in the computer. I want to plug in a guitar, use amplitube, and be able to hear the amplitube on the guitar while i play it. does this mean the firepod won't work? it sounds as if the signal coming from the computer(amplitube) may have latency thru the monitors. I would also like to use the virtual instruments in cubase and reason with my keyboard triggering them and hear them in realtime thru the monitors. Will this work?

it will work but since you'll be processing in the comp you'll have (some ) latency...

i wonder how much latency... i've noticed that around 40 ms and less in pretty much still playable....

Depending on comp you can get down to about 2 ms, early reports say 4 ms is actually realistic.

weel that sounds totally acceptable to me! thanks for the replies!
