can you use the firebox and firepod at the same time not daisy chained, but at the same time.

i would think if you had the chip that makes it able to run a mac os and windows and get another monitor then yeah 
otherwise, maybe im ignorant, but im going to say no. like im not 100 percent sure about this but i think things swould have to be daisy chained to cooperate. i dont know if firepods and boxs are able to interact, but i know like motu has a pci card that can use different interfaces at the same time and even the hd896 can be used with an mkII at the same time daisy chained, who knows try and daisy chain em
