Firebox MIDI problem

hey,

i just got a firebox, and i cant get the midi to work. the breakout cables connected, the controller's working, but nothings happening.

anyone?
 
You are connecting the midi controller to the "In" connector on the Firebox (I think it's the red one)?

Have you tried a differnet midi cable? That's just to be sure the midi cable is working properly.

I'd suggest you contact Presonus tech support and see if they have any suggestions. You may have a bad breakout cable thingy. They seem a bit fragile to me, the only thing I don't like about the Firebox.
 
I don't know if this helps but I had a Firebox for a while and at some point the midi was not working right. I tried all kinds of things and couldn't get it to work. I finally just turned everything off, computer, Firebox, and drum machine. I turned everything back on and it worked.
