I know the cubase le has been discontinued, But i want to hook a external mixer, amd use my pc speakers through the sound card. Can anyone help me out? I really appresiate any suggestions..

well the only advantage it'll give you is that you'll be able to eq your speakers

unless you have more than 2-3 channels coming out of your interface / soundcard, you gain nothing as the mixer will bounce to stereo anyway

but if you want to then just plug the out put of your soundcard to the mixer then the speakers to the output of the desk

I'm not sure I understand your question. Elaborate. :)

Thanks for the responces. Ok! I have a firebox unit i bought 6 yrs ago. Cubase le software, windows vista desk top. I would like to hook up my desktop speakers for audio. Also hook up a external mixer for other equipment.

Your desktop speakers connect with a 1/8" stereo plug right?

Why do you want to connect a mixer, and what do you wish to gain by doing so?

Get these. Then get these to adapt to the 1/4" Line Out 1/L, 2/R on the back of your interface.

You only have two 'line level' input channels on your interface. Are you trying to use a mixer as preamps to get your track count recorded to DAW to 4?

Once again, elaborate as to what exactly you are trying to accomplish here, and I can help more.

:)

I thot i could use the mixer for the mic & guitar, headphones instead of the interface.

I'm not sure I understand. You have two mic (preamped) inputs, and two line inputs on the Firebox. THIS right?

This gives you the ability to run two mics directly. The line inputs could be utilized with a two channel preamp, or mixer, to allow another two tracks recorded to you computer simultaneously. Is this what you are looking for?
