Firebox Audio inputs

If I got a preamp for microphones could I use the other inputs on the firebox to record with?

Not exactly sure what you are asking but yes.
You can plug mics into the onboard pres in the front and plug the balanced output of a stand alone mic pre or output of a mixer into the inputs on the back.
