Here are the finished product of my newest panel "design". I went with muslin, $1.89 a yard. I was going for inexpensive so looks are secondary. I figure down the road I could add some sort of sheer nylon type fabric if I want to pretty them up. I did get a little to cost greedy by stretching the fabric which put a slight bow in the middle, very slightly compressing the roxul. Not enough that I felt I should rip it off and start over. I will get better with every panel. My brother told a guy at work about the panels and wants me to build twenty panels for his home theater, not sure what to charge him though. Total material cost $9

Looking good man. I'd probably use a dark cloth to make them a little more professional so you can't see the wood, the sell them for around $25 a panel or since he needs so many say $400 for 20. That should make up for the cost of getting a little more expensive fabric.

I make them 6 at a time myself and sell them on craigslist for $35 a piece, or all of them for $200. Great way to make a little extra money.

I already went and bought a bit and have started adding the holes. I keep reengineering in my head trying to figure how to make the most roxul exposed. I have an Idea in mind to use only 1"X2" furring strips for the entire frame, leaving all but a minimum of the corners exposed. One 8' 1"X 2" only cost $0.78.
