I only recently started working again, buying the upgrade is an act of optimism... plus I got Garrigus' book for free...

Anyway, anyone have any tips/gotchas/etc. for me before I dive in and perform the install?

Aaah, finaly :)

Congrats, mate! That's a good news to hear :)

1) Glad to hear you are working again... congrats

2) Glad to hear you upgraded.... congrats. Dig right in, you'll love it!

Take Care

The only small gotcha I found when running the two versions side-by-side while I got used to v3 is the file format change.

Once it's saved in v3 it won't open in v2.

So look after your version control while you are getting your feet wet would be my only word of advice. And of course, update it to v3.1.1 and get the VST 4.4.2 adapter patch.

T'anks, guys. I'm too tired to do it now, had a practice session with a singer, and tomorrow night I'm practicing with another guitar player, so it looks like Friday...

if you bought the producer edition, there is also an update for vsampler at maz-sound.com to version 3.04 i think

Make sure to install the VST adapter patch from the Cakewalk web site.

Although once would probably do...

Sorry, missed that part of your post.

The way I learned to speed read is to just skip a few lines here and there. ;)

Plus this just added 2 to my post count, without adding a single thing to the dialogue. I'm starting to feel like acidrock. :p
