Finally ordered 3 cases of Roxul 2" mineral wool. Gonna make some panels for my control room. Been using an untreated room for the past 2 years. See if it helps !!!!!
Roxul AFB Mineral Wool 2-inch. Its not as rigid as 703, but works well when put in panel frames. I may need to incorporate chicken wire for the ones I put on the ceiling. No biggie, I live in farm country. Chicken wire is everywhere !!!! The properties are very similar to 703. You will be amazed how much of a difference it will make. Are you going to make basstraps first or wall treatments? I would double them and make basstraps for all corners first it is amazing the difference it will make. Keep us posted.
I recieved three big boxes today. That was some fast delivery. Ordered Sunday night and got them today. I have to run to Lowes later and get some wood for the framing. Then hit the fabric shop. I gonna do the panels first. My stupid ass didnt think about bass traps. I ordered enough Roxul to do 18 2'x4'x2" thick panels. I will have to tackle the bass traps later I guess. I have two rear corners in the control room, so I would think two bass traps for the corners would do. The other corners are actually sort of round and there is alot of gear occupying those areas. Any links or info on Bass traps would be helpfull. I will take many pics.

So you mean double the Roxul to 4" and hang in the corners ? My ceilings are 10' tall. Wonder if a 4 foot panel in each corner would do (only two actual corners in the room). I didnt read your post very well at first. I read bass trap and said "oh hell, I forgot. But if 4" panels will do, then I should have plenty.
Even if I should use 2 in each corner then that will leave 14 for the walls and in the ceiling corners. I need to post asketch of the room. Give me a few and I'll post one.
Here is the layout. The walls where the computer desk is located and the walls to the left. are the only sharp corners. Cant place anything by the door and the wall by the window area is actually rounded. I actually dont have any glass in the window area either. Have not really had the need for it. Any help is appreciated concerning placement and if two bass traps 2'x4'x4" one in each back corner will do. Also should there be any space behind the wall panels, or do I mount them flush ?
If you have 10 foot ceilings, you could still put a 2'x2' bass trap in that corner above the door. I'd also put bass traps along ceiling wall junctions wherever there is room. And yes when you mount the wall treatments, leaving space between them and the wall helps. Even if you can leave a 2" air space behind them it will improve absorption.
