I know there is a "Show me your Studio!" thread, but it's huge and usually just hang out here, and since lots of you have helped me for months and months now, even back when I didn't know what a pinch roller was, I thought you may enjoy my "work in progress" setup. I'm still not done seting stuff up, but here's a few nice pictures of my Otari decks and the rest of my stuff:

I'm pretty proud of it all......All bought on an after-school minimum wage job!

I remember, it was literally only a year ago, I had a 4 track portastudio I bought of a friend for 40 bucks, and I thought I was "set," and couldn't figure out what the little knob on the mixer that said "EQ" meant. :D

All I have to say is.... WOW!!

I'm very impressed with how clean and nicely laid out everything is! Those 2 Otaris sitting so proudly on each side of the desk are a thing to behold! Nice everything! :D

Thats a nice setup :) Those Otari,s are nice. They have that industrial look.

I have to start tearing all of my stuff down and packing it away for a move :(

Yeah, man! You rock!

You are my idol! ;)

Nice Keyboard!

go go anti go!

I blindly clicked on this thread and when I saw those two Otaris I knew, this is antistipulata! I guess you decided not to sell one of those badboys; good move. Definitely looking forward to hearing some more of your tunes. Once I have all my ducks in a row I'll post a photo.

But I just realized why your setup is so neat and tidy...nothing's plugged in!

Looks great. Few items are the top of the 'wish to have' types  Cool!

also, I must note, that "well organized" set-ups are usually dysfunctional ...while full of life breathing and pumping set-ups often look rather like complete and hopeless mess :D .

"Nice" set-ups also often look like a museum-room after the owner/producer is long gone dead :p

Plug 'em in and make some mess already :D

Yup, those decks look schweet. I also like the blue, white and green walls. Cool touch. ;)

oh, yes! the walls idea is tripple
...(don't hang any soft stuff on them... it will destroy the view :))
*******
time to get a guitar stand ... or better yet build one, using blue, green and white painted wood parts :)

Looks great. That's the sort of view you can just pull up a chair and stare at for a while. :)

hey, thanks everyone for the kind words! Haha yeah I know it isn't set up yet, I'm building a snake myself so it's taking a little longer. Man, I had no idea painting took so long, that took literally like 8 hours! Yeah, I plan to record some good stuff soon, I need to hand some 703 first and get things put together. And I need a good guitar amp, I got mine from a cheap starter pack

get a dust cover on those pluckers a.s.a.p..

... and for those 2 beauties on the far right and left (Otaris ;) ). Large see through garbage bags would suffice or something you could get for free at a crafts store. ;)

For all the gear I have,...

I basically have all of it covered in plastic. Trash bags look good in the big dumpster-dive I call my "studio".;)

Nah. Word is that I'd rather dump money into gear and go on the cheap for covers, using inexpensive trash bags worth pennies. Put all my real dough into hardware, eh. Trash bag's effective and cheap, and the dust is relentless in my neighborhood!
