Hey MP3.com just let me upload this song, it is the first in a long while. It is called FORGET IT and it is at www.mp3.com/2lim. I would like some feedback on the mix considering i mixed it on panasonic bookshelf speakers, and i have a feeling ti may be a little bass heavy but have no idea. So tell me what you think.

Decent mix.

Hey 2lim,

Not a bad mix. I think that you are right: the bass is pretty big and seems to leak out of the bottom of the spectrum. Rolling off the low freqs on the bass guitar might neaten up the bottom end, give the bass a little more presence in the mix without making it to loud. Its pretty boomy right now.

Something that struck me is that the kick doesn't seem to be centered- just to the right of center. Odd enough that it distracted me. Was that intentional?

Reminds me of some of the songs I played in High School. The nieghbors (and the police) loved us. ;)

Good work.

a little "boomy" on my JBL 4311's too. Fun song....wild pic.....you guys lost in da woods der!! Keep up the good work (but try rolling of dem lows....) or...maybe get a subwoofer to help balance out your listening setup....then maybe your mixes won't be so bass heavy.

Hey thanks for ther advice, iw ill give the bass a little EQ to see if that will help. The kick is panned intentionally, just cause i like the way it souns coming from one side. I will post a new mix as soon as mp3.com wil let me.

hey, good work... i would def turn down the bass a little bit though, the volume on the snare could come up.Good song ....

The voice need air eq and reverb. THe vox dynamics were good.

I think the whole songs need air around it and space. It kinda seems all the instrumentswere playing in a closed, dead space.

Was that a real guitar amp?

Well my reverb consists of Ntrack reverb and blueline reverb so i will work with the plugins on that, and yeah that is a washburn mercury series guitar, through a grunge pedal through a peavey rage 158 guitar amp, with a little compression onit
