Final Mixdown EQ?

Hey HR boarders,

I've been recording, tracking and mixing a bunch of songs, individually trying to make each sound its best. At this point, I have a bunch of recently
?completed? (lol) tracks, hopefully to put on a mixtape.

Could someone possibly lend some advice as to which key frequencies i should play with to hopefully bring my tracks closer together on the soundscape? Are there general areas that need attention, or some final touches i could use? (final reverb or compression setting?)

Besides just raising and dropping the final db level, what else could I do to "amature" my mixdown track? Any links or ideas would be graciously appreciated.

Dammit Bruce, now I see how you got 10,000 some odd posts...

but thanks, everytime I read that article something else inspires me. I might as well set your frequency chart as my wall paper, or print it out and stick it to my forehead.

Just 1 more question...how does an "octave" relate to a "Q"?

I noticed that your chart was set at 1/3 octave, just curious as to how that relates to Q,

Thanks for the info....
