Well this is it I guess. Unless I missed something really bad I have to move on. This is the first of 3. Have a listen if you like. Don't be critical of the song because that's not up to me, but please chime in on mix stuff that really bothers you. Anything that really jumps out and says "DUH!" I've listened to these songs too many times.

thanks.

Sounds great! Only concern I might have is it sounds like there is a bit of a resonant boominess that sounds like the typical muted guitar out of a big cab thing. Hard to kill that without killing the guitar sound. I have gone in before and manualy knocked it down before but it was pretty labor intensive.

At least I think that's what I am hearing. It's hard cause it sounds like it's stacking on the bass.

Really an excelet mix though. Wish I could mix so well :)

Sounds really cool. Mix sounds pretty well done.

Has a boominess that is kinda cool.

But I can hear the thing that Freudian Slip is talking about. :)

it might be the bass

Ya it's hard to tell but I had a similar problem with a song in the studio where the guitarist had a les Paul going into a 4 12 marshall. When he muted after the string hit, it actually made a low harmonic hum that was louder than the string hit it's self (at least in the low end).

To me it sounds the same. You may be able to blunt it though by messing with the bass guit. If it is stacking up it would be easier to notch the bass than manualy go in and pull db's on the guitar track's where it wells up.

I have a pretty bassy system so on a typical stereo it may not be an issue. It was in my situation. I think it may be for someone with the loudness button pushed. It is a matter of taste though.
