My band has been working on our Ep for the last couple weeks and i was wondering what you thought of the mixing/recording quality of some of our stuff. You can hear our music here http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/ffrmusic.htm
the only ones fina version there is the song Final Confession. Tell me what you think of the quality, and the song. Thanks.
 
oh yea, keep in mind that i only used a zoom 4-track, 3 mics on the drums, and didnt do too much work with placement and such. I guess i relied too much on eq...but eh, this is my first actual project, ill get better as time goes by.
 
Lots of clipping going on. I would say you should probably pay more attention to proper mic placement n stuff.

It's not really my style of music so I can't comment on the song to much.

Keep working at it. It's your first try like you said and if you keep working and learning you will get better :)

This is not my genre, but it sounds like a powerful delivery. I dont know if it was my laptop or the mix, but were the vocals distorting?
