Hey all. Two questions. What is a rar file and how do I change an mp3 file to a wav. file? ThanX for your patience with us newbees!!!!

A rar file is an compressed archive format, something like a zip file.
To change an MP3 file to a wav, open it in an audio editor and then save it as a WAV, simple as that (assuming the audio editor supports both formats, which most do -- certainly Sound Forge does). But of course you cannot get back whatever was lost when the original source file was encoded into an MP3 to begin with, you realize. MP3s are a "lossy" form of compression and once the data is lost, it's lost.
