file bit depth conversion emergency!

I have an 8bit, 11,025hz wave file and i need to turn it into a 16bit, 44.100hz file! In sound forge i can turn it from 8 bit into 16 bit, but logic audio can't play it at 11.025 it sounds like someone skratching their nails on a chalk board. Please help!

Haven't uset logic for years
In cubase you can change the settings of the frequency's in your project
Have you tried that?

Yea it was a different function in Sound forge. I knew it was there but couldn't find it. Called Resampling. And then bit depth converter to change to 16 bit.

Just export to SF if you have it and save over the old copy of the wav.
