what up FIEV... hey this has nothing to do with the track you posted... ( cuz i've never had a complaint about the quality of your music:) ) but i was reading through the info on your soundclick page and something struck me... (QUOTE)... " I don't believe in vocal tags so it's very unlikely you will ever see a vocal tag on Heavyhitta Beats." i just wanted to point out that you can't see a " vocal tag" you hear it.. i'm sorry if i'm being an asshole but i seem to catch stuff like this.. no harm ment homie.. just looking out.. cuz everything looks good--- except for this... ok-- grill me now!!!! lol :o
 
Eh, true my friend....very true. And to be honest, you're the only one (outside of myself) who ever caught that in all the years I've done music. Actually, I'll do little things like that to throw people off if they catch them...shows me how much attention is paid to detail :D

As far as the quality goes, I will say that having Reason along with the Triton, Motif, and Fantom in addition to my massive sounds has helped step my game up.

Ima say that the guitar sounds a lil bit too MIDI-like...the clap could use a lil more clap (aw chyea), and that WHAT sample I've heard before in a lot of peoples beats...
 
I think distorted electric guitars are some of the hardest things to tweak in midi stuff (if anyone has any ideas to make them more realistic LET ME KNOW). I blended about 3 different guitars from the triton and motif to make it as real as I could get it. True, the what has been overdone but I figured vocals mixed in it would help make it fuller. I'll definitely have to mess with the claps. I have two different ones in there at different pitch.
 
Imma peep when I get home to MD (im in VA right now bout to head to MD) this morning and see if I can give you some more ideals...

I'm not gonna sit here and front and feel like I need to find a flaw so I can post critique. To my ears, I like the concept and direction you went in. I like the sounds that you chose. I just started getting into creating beats, and I find that I am intrigued with alot of organ and violin sounds, and you'll herar that in many of my beats. But you show alot of versatility messing with different sounds.......
You'll probably tweak in areas that you hear needs tweaking, but I like the overall feel. Head bobber!
 
Me personally, I fell in love with the bells. You'll hear them from time to time, but I like them because you can make a statement with them in deep tracks. I like organs and strings (especially pizzicatos and violins) for the same reason. It's all about how you want to express yourself through your beat.

You have a lot of nice beatmakers in this forum...all who have different styles. I'm just trying to learn as many different styles as I can so I'm not limited to being good at just one, especially because I'll sell to different cats.
 
yo Fiev... i agree that the guitars need to be tweaked.. but i can show you better than i can tell you in chatting. if you don't mind sending me the guitar part i can tweak the hell outta them and let u hear it... i can bet you'll love it though... i just want to help homie :D get back at me!

Cell what are you using? Reason? Live? FL? Do you need me to send you just the guitars on one wav? I'm still learning how to tweak guitars....I've come a long way from where I started.

let's see. i like the crisp feel its putting forth so far, and Guitar beats fit my style perfectly. I actually prefer them.

The little john stuff....hmm.............coulda used something different but it worked for me still and all.


I picture a Zombie assed club rocking to this, and that's what i like about it. I could make a perfect song to this. Strong work, F,
 
yo Fiev.. my fault man. i've been upgrading my computer and haven't spent much time online- i'm back now though:D i'm using Fl Studio as my main weapon.. but yeah send me the guitars all on one file. you can actually send me a high quality mp3. cuz i plan on adding some heavy effects, so you won't have to worry about the sound quality when i get done.

OK I'll make a zip file with all the tracks of the guitars. Let me know what you did and I'll try it in Reason.
