does anyone know if a fender roland-ready stratocaster is a MIDI guitar ?

if you could play it through synths it would have to be a MIDI guitar right?
would i be able to use it with reason 2 (the MIDI program)? I couldnt find any information on this anywhere

No, it is not "MIDI - ready".

While it does have a GK-2A hexaphonic pickup installed, its output is not MIDI.

You require a device to convert the hex pickup signal - a Roland gutar synth (GR-33/50/09/30 etc.) is the common device, but there are other products out there that accept the 13 Pin connector.

Throw in a Roland GI-20 and it is!!

Or go old school and get an AXON Neural Net.

Both have great tracking capability.

As for using it as a MIDI entry device. SURE!

You have to play amazingly clean but it can work.
