I had to replace the neck on my Fender. Does anyone have the templates so that I can print out my own headstock logo??

you might wanna try to find a picture of the logo, like on thier website or from your guitar or something. scan it into adobe photoshop, and resize it to fit, resharpin it, and then copy it to your guitar through some sticker or something. im not sure how to do the last part.

we arent all lucky enough to have adobe photoshop 7.0, but i am :D

There used to be somebody who advertised in the back of various guitar mags. I don't know what you call them in the USA but we call them "transfers" - you soak them in water, carefully slide them off the paper when wet and they stick where you leave them.
Good luck

Our American cousins refer to them as decals. It can be very difficult to get hold of genuine Fender decals for fairly obvious reasons:

You used to be able to find them on Ebay..havent looked in a couple years.

There was a shop in Cincinnati that got busted for selling "vintage Fender" guitars that ended up being fakes with the right badging. Thats when I learned you don't buy any Fender until you take the neck and pickguard off and take a look around.

Well, then there may never be a Photoshop 8.0.....................

I dont use software enough to warrant buying it, I think I've used it once in the past 6 months... if the software is cheap enough and I'm going to use it alot, I'll pay for it... I cant speak for others, but I would never buy those expensive programs so they're not losing money on me,.. I more or less just download them to check em out, then I usually delete em to free up space...
Just like mp3's... if I like the band I'll buy the CD's, otherwise I'll delete em... kind of like advertising or "try before you buy"...
besides I'm poor, why should only people with money get to experience the basic things in life...
you do what ya gotta do sometimes...

So you wouldn't mind if some finacially challenged person were to steal your favourite guitar?

Ok, I'll only steal your expensive guitar.

Right. I'd never actually buy an expensive guitar. So it's ok if I steal one.

I more or less just download them to check em out, then I usually delete em to free up space...

Ahh. I can steal your guitar for a short while as long as I return it (or destroy it).

Ok. Now I understand. It's ok for the poor to steal, because they're poor.

Heaven forbid we give people incentive to work hard and earn what they use. When did this become a communist society?

Downloading a copy of a program floating around on the net, checking it out and deleting it is not even close to being the same, if you think it is then you're not very bright....
And I'm sure you'll be happy to know I did get ripped off for over 5,000 worth of musical equipment... (limited edition Les Paul, Yamaha PA, Peavey and Fender amps, mics, etc.)

There was an old saying...how did it go?

Oh yes, thats right...

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND.

Your comparisons are pretty lame, but I'll say it again.... I dont even use em, I just check em out and delete em... I cant figure out how to use em anyway.. after seeing people talk about em I check em out, outta curiosity... I've never recorded anything with em, seeing as I have no decent sound card or even a direct in for recording...
Let me ask you something, while waiting for your wife to shop for groceries have you ever picked up a magazine off the stand and scanned through it real quick?... did you buy it. or put it back down?... if you put it back down, according to you, you stole its contents because you never paid for it... thats all I do more or less is scan it, and thats it, I never gain anything from it or profit off it...
so whatever, dude....

Ya I never look at those magazines. I don't care who is getting it on with who in Hollywood...not until I am there at least.

Just a thought...

Ever check out a book from the library?... did you send money to the writer of the book after reading it?

After listening to a song on the radio do you send money to the artist?

My comparisons are about as valid as yours....

peace...

Acually ADVERTISERS send money to the artists on the radio. If your music is on the radio you are making decent money. The liberary...those books are paid for by all of use through our TAX DOLLARS. Sit down.

The books are bought once, not everytime they're read...

Anyway I said my points were as valid as comparing stealing a guitar to downloading a program and deleting it...

There is no comparison...

Well acually.......

Allow me to elaborate.

Libraries are much like Blockbuster. Blockbuster rents us a movie for a short period of time for a smaller amount of money. But they have AGREEMENTS with the owners of the motion picture to do so. Because HOLLYWOOD understands that most people cannot afford to drop $20 on a DVD. Blockbuster also PAYS between 100 and 200 Dollars PER copy of the movie.

Liberaries work much the same way.

And radio, the artist gets around 10 cents each time the song is played. If its a good song, that adds up quick. 5 to 20 times a day, 150 radio stations.....you get the picture.

Go here and type in "Fender". You'll get a .EPS file that you can open in Photoshop. An .EPS file is vector based, so there's no need to resize. Just open it in the DPI you need for print and print it.

http://logo.nino.ru/

They have any logo you can thing of, in EPS format!

From your previous post it appeared to me that you were advocating using pirated software. If I misinterpreted what you wrote then I apologise.

And I'm sure you'll be happy to know I did get ripped off for over 5,000 worth of musical equipment...

Why would you suppose that would make me happy Kelly? No amount of theft would make me happy. I work very hard for the things I've accumulated. Insulting me is a cheap shot.
