I'm having the darndest time trying to identify this guitar. My girlfriend wanted her first guitar, so last Christmas she got a very nice Fender acoustic(I played it, the most AMAZING acoustic guitar I've ever played, plays much better than top line electrics, no joke!), anayway, it's got your standard looking acoustic body, but it's got the scalloped style Fender headstock, like an electric guitar? I've exhausted every resource trying to find something like it, but to no avail. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated! If you need pictures, don't hesitate to ask, I have plenty! I just need to know wether it's worth her selling(or insuring it) so she doesn't beat up a gem...thanks.

A picture would be helpful. Also, look inside the soundhole for a model number.

I don't know if it's the villager, it has six strings...the headstock looks EXACTLY like the oversized 60's strat headstocks, 6 strings, scalloped, same shape, everything! It plays gorgeously! I'll have my girlfriend send me more pictures, and I'll post 'em soon...thanks...

All right, got some new info:

It's made in Korea
Model # AG15 N
Serial # 94051532

Thanks for all the help so far...the Newporter is the closest thing so far, but the neck is set in, there's no ugly pickguard, and the headstock only says "Fender", nothing else...I'll work on getting the picture put up here...thanks.

Well, I think you just answered your own question. It is a Fender AG15. The AG (for Acoustic Guitar, I'm guessing) series were made in Korea in the mid 90s. It does not appear to be in production anymore.

"AG15 1994-1995 $259 to $289 Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides"

Thanks Scrubs, I wouldn't have picked up on that if you didn't point it out(feels kinda' dumb)...thanks everybody else too! Problem solved! : D

Ag15n

I also own this guitar. I got it when my dad passed away in 2004. This is the first time I have seen another loke it. I use D'addario 11's. Very nice tone and easy to play.
