Thanks for looking.

Here's my second piece. New York Another instrumental track with some sampled vocals.

Using feedback from several sources regarding how my first piece Figure work sounded to them, I hope this is better.

What do you think?

I hope it is ok to comment. I don't know much about music or recording.

But it sounds really good! I love the base and the vocals. Just sounds really classy.

I like everything except the sampled vocal - it's redundant and becomes a bit laughable after a minute or so.
The goove is pretty well held.

Thanks Guys. Sampled vocals? Well I can't sing and haven't got a singer :) so this was for fun.

I like it - but I'm also a big fan of Michael Jackson - and it definitely has that feel. If ya found someone to sing vocals over it, I think it would really swing. But I like the track - groovy. My speakers here suck, and I also know little about recording, but maybe a hint more kick? However, if on your speakers they sound thumpy, then ignore my comment based on drums. :)

Thanks wonderlick. Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Rod Temperton were my early influences.

I posted really to get feedback on the mix on different speakers. More kick? Maybe on the 'dance version' ;)
