Trying this out on your guys here... its only ONE MINUTE, just a simple short intro, and right into the first "verse"

now and then I try to see "where I am at" making popular music... *shrugs* you guys are never shy about letting me know...

I "tentatively" came up with the first "verse" to go with the music, but, lyrics ain't really my "thing"... I figured I'd wait to see if the basic melody idea seemed worth dumping the lyrics on you... lol

Sounds good, it beckons for some lyrics & vocals to follow. And I think you may have a cool idea with this thread...a lot of what I record is musical ideas that may be under a minute, or not much longer. Below is a link to a song I composed that is strictly an instrumental running only about 38 seconds long but it could certainly be fleshed out & re-recorded.

If this is an attempt at writing a pop song then I think the most important part here is the vocal melody. It really all depends on what the vocal melody is as it can completely transform a song. So this could turn out great or could be horrible, all depends on what goes on it.

I was able to listen to this one, SEDstar. I like it. It has a new age atmosphere, which is one of my favorite genres. Good stuff. Post your lyrics when you have time.
