Let me know what you think. I've been messing with it and getting close I think. Rock is so hard to produce (I find)! Any advice/feedback on the song and production is welcome. Thanks.

-Aaron.

Real nice strong guitar sound. Lots of layers, and they sound pretty good. Good guitar licks. Cool, growling bass. Good singing.

The vocals are pretty hot. Some distortion with the vocal at :30-:32. Some more around 1:25-1:35. Other spots too. Something like compression, EQ cuts, or just fader cuts seem needed.

I think the vocals are competing with all those big guitars, making them hard to "poke through."

Pops on the right side from 2:06 - 2:13 during the guitar solo. Killer solo though.

This big sound here.

Like those guits and the vox are nice and tasty too. The writing is well done too. Like those big guitar hits in the pre-choruses.

For some reason some of the rhythm parts give me a kravitz kinda feel. Kinda but not really?

Anyway, overall very strong and nicely done.

Thanks guys. I can hear that crackle too - doh! I think I that may be some digital distortion. I may have to re-record that bit.

Anyway - I was going for that big sound - like a sonic landscape of guitars.

Thanks for listening and the feedback - much appreciated.

I took some advice and did a remix. Eq'd the vox, rerecorded the bit with digital distortion. The song is short! Too short you think?

Is that a drum machine or an actual drummer?

Half way through the second verse, I would lower or just remove the higher pitched guitar. Might give a little more *umph* to the upcoming chorus.

Just a thaught... might suck, I don't know =)

another...

End of first chorus.. "Just stop coming around".. then there's some stuff and a lead thingy goin on.

I'd have the first note of the lead land right on the word "around"... with no other music in the background.

Then the main riffs bust in, continue with song.

Once again... It might sound like crap, just try it, see what happens.

You're mix is good tho... I really like it.

This Rocks!

Good mix--a few pops as others have said. Layered nicely, everything is there and clear. Nicely done.

Thanks! It is a real drummer. I'll make sure and tell him you asked. Not sure what he'd think about that!

especially,

Great power pop/rock tune you have there!

There seems to be a bit too much energy in the mids for my tastes and sounds a bit grating at louder monitoring levels. Maybe cut the 1Khz zone by 1 or 2 db and it should smooth out the sound over all.

The drums were well played but, I wanted to here more of them in the mix. They sounded a bit thin and back, to my liking.

The guitar work and vocals were well done and I enjoyed the strong performance and talent that you obviously possess!

Song too short? Nah! Sounds about right to me.

Cheers! :)

Thanks Ghost - you mean a cut of that frequency on the entire mix? I'll give that a try.

Thanks for the feedback and compliments!

Cheers.

Sounded good to my ears. Swampy vocals with biting guitar tone fit well together, and solo was tasty and fit the overall sound, thanks for the listen

Excellent Rocker!

I have no issues with anything here - it's an excellent rock tune. I guess I'm hearing a re-mix 'cause I don't hear any competition between guitars and vocals. (But you know me, if you can't hear the vocals TURN IT UP!) I thnk you can play this tune quite loud!! I'd really like to hear this band live - very tight. Yeah it might be a bit short - but I like extended tunes with excessive guitar wanking - it's just me.

Excellent vocals - fine playing all around - I think I'm gonna TURN IT UP AND PLAY IT AGAIN!!
Thanx!

Nice job on this. Good big guitar and bass sounds when they kicked in. I did not like the vocal FX before everything kicked in. Sounded good the rest of the way. Drums sounded weak to me. Not the playing just volume (maybe thin - compression or EQ?). Also the snare sound might not be my favorite but that's preference.

Good work!
