--im still learning about mixxing down n what not --

i tried sev. dif. things . . . lookin at various mixxing books, and
software how to's, etc.

i didnt wanna go overboard on any one effect . . . (bass, reverb esp.)

Voices are a little thin sounding, but overall it's not a bad mix at all. I'd like to hear a little more sizzle on the high end... high hats need a little 12khz air on them.

Maybe a little less reverb on the vox. Sort of has that metallic zing.

Pretty good job. Rap is pretty easy to record and mix because so much of it is direct.

hopefullly i can get a little bit more advice

in sonic foundry i have plug in presets that i can upload

one of them is called: [Sys] Add air (boost above 16k by 6 dB)


is this what you meant? or even close?
am i supposed to change this preset or just leave it alone?

yeah it does sound a bit METALIC... I think hihats and Vocal are not right there... VOCAL needs more work, either recording or something wrong with EQation..
