fd8 can i record with a scsi cdr instead of zip?

can i use a cdr instead of zip or external hard drive?
using the cd's to store the tracks?

for real time recording I believe the answer is no. Actually I am 100% sure the answer is no. Some of the reasons include: cd-r's don't spin fast enough. Even if they did you would have to use a cd-rw as you are sure to need to make changes, punch in, multiple takes etc. I am sure there are other reasons as well. Sorry
